The Sanctuary at South Hollow

South Hollow is not home to your usual cat sanctuary, our cats reside in large, spacious runs and houses, allowing them lots of room to play and roam. We try to make the sanctuary as much like a home as we can with many different kinds of beds, baskets, chairs and other lounging areas so each cat has a place to call their own.
On arrival, the cats are placed in 'houses' just for the first few days so they can become accustomed to the sights. smells and sounds of life at South Hollow. It also gives our vets a chance to check them over and give them their jabs before they are let out with the others.
For some cats though, living with other felines is just not their cup of tea, for them we have areas they can live in where they can have the place to themselves. Most cats will adapt quite easily to living together and many friedships are formed while they are with us. Some cats become such great pals that they have even been re-homed together! And we also have a totally separate Isolation Unit to minimise the risk of infection spreading if we ever have any cats that are ill while they are with us..
As we are run and manitained solely by volunteers, we are not open to the public except by appointment and on our Open Days, which are always held on the first saturday in September. If you would like to come and visit us please just give us a call on: 01263 822560
